Spinmaster

The SPINMASTER FFC Relaxometer is a powerful and versatile research grade instrument designed to measure the field dependence of the NMR longitudinal spin-lattice relaxation time, T1. The transverse spin-spin relaxation time, T2, may also be measured.

Relaxation times from a fraction of a millisecond to several seconds can be measured with ease and Stelar’s new powerful software give the user a choice of a library of standard sequences or the freedom to program other complex sequences and field profiles.

The SPINMASTER can be configured to satisfy diverse needs and applications, including frequency range covered, large volume samples and multi-nuclear measurement capability, with the top of the range “DUO” system giving maximum freedom to the researcher in terms of sample size, range of frequency and measurable nuclei. A range of additional accessories is available for the basic system which increases the measurement capabilities.

  • SPINMASTER 1
    Tesla
  • SPINMASTER 0.5 Tesla Wide Bore
  • SPINMASTER “DUO” 1 Tesla & 0.5 Tesla Wide Bore

The 1 Tesla system allows measurement of NMRD profiles from a few kHz to a maximum operating magnetic field of 40 MHz (1H Larmor frequency) and is capable of multi-nuclear measurements (1H, 2H, 7Li, enriched 13C, 23Na, 31P, et alii). 19F can be measured by addition of the fluorine probe to the basic system.

System Features

  • Measurement of relaxation times from a fraction of a millisecond to several seconds
  • Multi-nuclear operations
  • Sample diameter 10 mm
  • Fully automated acquisition of NMRD profiles
  • New powerful software with a choice of standard sequences or program your own
  • Efficient and accurate temperature control (range from -140 °C to +140 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution)
  • Minimum operating costs (no cryogenic gases necessary)
  • No complicated sample preparation required
  • Measures solids, liquids, colloids and complex mixtures

The 0.5 Tesla wide bore system is perfect for the researcher needing to measure large volume samples. It was designed particularly for applications with large volume samples such as rock cores and in vivo FFC (small animals). The system allows measurement of NMRD profiles of samples up to 26 mm diameter (1 inch), from a few kHz to a maximum operating magnetic field of 20 MHz (1H Larmor frequency) and is capable of multi-nuclear measurements (1H, 2H, 7Li, 13C, 23Na, 31P, et al.).

System Features

  • Fully automated acquisition of NMRD profiles on large volume samples, up to 26 mm diameter (1 inch)
  • Multi-nuclear operations
  • New powerful software with a choice of standard sequences or program your own
  • Efficient and accurate temperature control (range from -140 °C to +140 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution)
  • Minimum operating costs (no cryogenic gases necessary)
  • No complicated sample preparation required

Measures solids, liquids, colloids, complex mixtures. Specially designed for rock cores and even small animals for “in-vivo" FFC NMR.

SPINMASTER DUO is a "dual magnet" Fast Field Cycling NMR relaxometer.

The system can perform the automatic acquisition of relaxation times in a wide range of magnetic fields with different volume samples: it gives maximum freedom to the researcher in terms of sample size, range of frequency and measureable nuclei.

The system is comprised of both 1 Tesla and 0.5 Tesla wide bore FFC magnets and allows measurement of NMRD profiles continuously from a few kHz to a maximum operating magnetic field of 40 MHz (1H Larmor frequency) on small volume samples (10 mm) and up to 20 MHz for large volume samples (up to 26 mm) and is capable of multi-nuclear measurements (1H, 2H, 7Li, enriched 13C, 23Na, 31P, et alii). 19F can be measured by addition of the fluorine probe to the system.
