Dr. Suvarn Kulkarni is a Biswas-Palepu Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, where he enjoys most of his time in academic activities. He is also the present adean of Academuc Programs IIT Bombay. Dr.Suvarn’s background is in organic chemistry, in particular carbohydrate chemistry, which he first learned about during his postdoc at Academia Sinica in Taipei and subsequently at University of California Davis. Based at the IIT Bombay since 2009, Dr.Suvarn is further exploring his interest into the chemical synthesis of sugars, leading a very active research group who are trying to discover diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines by chemically synthesizing the complex glycoconjugates that are present on the cell surface of bacteria. He specializes in areas such as chemical synthesis if complex carbohydrates and chemical glycobiology. Dr. Suvarn is also an expert NMR Spectroscopist with extensive hands-on experience on NMR. He enjoys teaching and learning. He has received the most prestigious Prof. S P Sukhatme award from iitb for excellence in teaching.

Dr Rajendra K. Kharul has around 20 years of industrial experience after post-doc. By now, he has touched upon Organic chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, material science, and discovery chemistry for agrochemicals. Dr Kharul has obtained his PhD from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. After his Ph D, he moved to Canada to do post-doctoral research. During his graduation and post-doctoral research, he has completed total synthesis of several biologically active molecules. Indeed, NMR spectroscopy has played a vital role during his research. Dr Kharul has worked with Zydus Research Centre, the Drug Discovery wing of Zydus Healthcare Ltd, Advinus Therapeutics, and GEnrich Membranes. Dr Kharul is currently working with Best Crop Science Pvt Ltd. Dr Kharul has several publications and patents.

Dr. Sunil.K. Ghosh is an distinguished scientist and former associate director at Bioscience group BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), Mumbai. He obtained PhD degree from IIT Kharagpur; (1989) and did post-doctoral research in Department of Chemistry, Cambridge University, United Kingdom during 1991-1993 and in Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Illinois, USA during 1999-2001. He is the recipient of INSA Young Scientists Medal Award (1992) instituted by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi, DST-European Communities Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Young Scientists (1991-1992) awarded by the Commission of the European Communities, Brussels, Convention Award (1990) given by the Indian Chemical Society, Calcutta and Homi Bhabha Prize (1987) awarded by BARC. Presently he is working in the field of synthesis of organic molecules. He is a recognized Ph. D. Guide of the Mumbai University since 1999 and Professor of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) since 2006. He has published about 141 papers in journals & conferences and published 5 book and 4 review article.

Dr. Anil Kumar P G received his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2005, and then held a post-doc position at the University of Western Sydney in Australia.Anil joined the applications team at Bruker India Mumbai branch in 2007, and did NMR service and applications support upto 2016. He moved to Bengaluru to take up the Sales position and continue his support to all academics, industry and pharma customers in his region.

Chandrashekhar is currently Lead, Application Scientist and Head of Bruker Academy Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy division, Bruker BioSpin Group, responsible for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka region. He started his professional life as Application Scientist with Bruker India Scientific Pvt Ltd in 2000, covering mainly applications of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance as well as other analytical instruments applications. With his 24-year experience in Magnetic Resonance technology, Chandrashekhar developed his applications expertise and technical knowledge, working his way up to be in partnership with customers through innovative applications support and trustworthy services.

Uday is currently Sales Manager and Applications Scientist – Cleantech, Industrial and Applied Market (CIAM) division of Bruker Biospin Group. He started his professional career as an Application Scientist with Bruker India Scientific Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, in 2012. Covering mainly Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR/ESR) product portfolio -floor standing and benchtop NMR systems like Minispec and Fourier 80, catering to food and industry markets. Also, in charge of demo lab at Mumbai for benchtop NMR and EPR systems. He obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2010, and then pursued post-doc research at the University at Buffalo-SUNY, USA.
